The PL-B741EF
Machine Vision camera is a high performance, 1.3 megapixel
monochrome camera offering excellent responsivity in the
Near-IR. From 700nm to 1000nm, responisvity is substantially
increased over the PL-B741F providing users with a solution
Near-IR imaging at an affordable price.
Fully IIDC
1.31 compliant, the PL-B741EF uses a standard Firewire
interface for plug-and-play operation with the host
computer. Extended features – such as trigger and
general-purpose outputs add a level of functionality beyond
the IIDC standard, providing excellent performance for the
price. Factory calibrated Digital Pixel Correction and on
board Flat Field Correction provides image quality similar
to high-end CCD cameras. The PL-B741EF Machine Vision camera
is a cost-effective solution suitable for wide-ranging OEM
applications. The FireWire interface offers ease-of-use
without the need for a framegrabber or expensive cabling.

The PL-B741EF Machine
Vision camera has a rich set of features and capabilities all
controllable through software. A global shutter and external trigger
allow synchronization in demanding machine vision applications. In
video mode, the camera can deliver 33fps at 1k x 1k resolution, 105
frames at VGA resolution (640 x 480), and 8000 fps at 472 x 8, all
with a user-definable region of interest (ROI). Full field-of-view
images can be decimated for high speed transmission. The camera has
a user-selectable 8 or 10-bit output. The CMOS sensor architecture
provides excellent anti-blooming capability. With the Software
Developer’s Kit, PixeLINK supplies an extensive Application
Programming Interface (API) and camera control GUI for fast and easy
application control. This functionality includes multiple trigger
modes and general purpose outputs that can be used for synchronizing
strobe illumination for lighting and motion controllers. Included is
an onboard user-programmable lookup table (LUT) applied in real
time, onboard nonvolatile memory for camera configuration and camera
configuration descriptors for quick changes to camera settings
between frames. Multiple-slope dynamic range controls, enables
balanced exposure in images with large intra-scene dynamic range.
This Extended Shutter logarithmically increases the linear dynamic
range of 54db to greater than 100db.
The PL-B741EF
Machine Vision camera was designed for OEM applications such as:
· Traffic Inspection
· Welding
· Wafer Alignment
· Biometrics
· Container Inspection
· PCB Inspection
With flexible ROI it can also be used as a quasi-linescan for
high-speed applications.
